I have been very busy since I last posted my little ones have been battling a sick bug and my 4 year old has had it the worst, so much so he got taken to hospital in a ambulance.  Thankfully he is alright and it was a precaution that NHS 24 took. Anyway he is on the mend and will maybe be back to nursery tomorrow as he has been asking all day!   I have had an idea for a little while but have been unsure of doing it.

Then idea started when I was crocheting one night and needed a stitch marker (for those of you who dont know a stitch marker is for when your knitting or crochet and your doing a circle and you need to know where you started,) and quickly made one, from one of my fimo sweets.  It work out that well I made more.  While I was crocheting I thought about pin cushions as I always pin them to myself (bad idea you would think I would learn as I am alway pricking myself.) and thought what else could I add to it to make it a set.

 I added a yellow liqorish round sweet pin cushion, a Bertie Basset inspired needle book to keep all you needles in and the 5 little stitch markers.

I hope you really like it because I do and I am already thinking about what else I could do along these lines.

It has a felt page middle so you can keep lots of needles in.

These 5 little stitch markers have a hook which has been filed
so that they wont catch the wool and are easy to slip out you work.

Hi everyone just thought I would share what I've made the last couple of nights. It is a dummy holder in the shape of a cat ( I know its my first attempt at amigurumi my husband think it looks like a frankinstein mix between a cat, bear and dog).

Molly's Leg warmers

I just wanted to show you one of my latest projects. This is Molly's leg warmers, they were created after an experiment suggested by a friend.

I knitted her little girl a pair of pink leg warmers which she loved.  I am now planning a few pairs and I will be adding them to my folksy shop soon. 

I am also currently working on a wee pair of baby booties and plan to make Fimo strawberry buttons for them.

my first post

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.  I will start by tellling you all a little about myself. 

I am a wife to a negleted husband and mother of 3 (4yr old boy called Charlie and the twins Molly and Alfie who are 2yrs old)  They all keep me very busy but I still find time to do what I love which is crafting.  Over the years I have dabbled in just about everything but the things I keep going back to is Jewellery Making, Knitting and Crochet.  I also love love fimo. 

I have for as long as I can remember have always sewn, knitted and crocheted thanks to the tutorials like many others from my Grandmother and Mother. My specality is starting a project and either not finishing it or finishing it a year later. 

My experimenting with jewellery making started when the twins were born, I suffered from postnatal depression quite badly and found it a very theraputic.  It was a way for me to switch off but soon be came and obbcession (which my poor husand put up with as I eventually stated to take over a corner of the living room.  This eventually lead to me selling my items to family and friends and when my confidence grow a little more to anyone who would buy my items.

Lately I have racked out my knitting needs and crochet hooks and have started pottering with them again.  I intend to use this blog to share my secrets and show you my work. 

I would appreciate any feedback you could give me so that I can grow my little shops on Folksy and Etsy and well as my facebook page.  So please feel free to leave comments and feedback. 

Anyway better go I have 3 little monsters to get ready for bed.  I intend to post again with my latest project my toddlers leg warmers.
